Michael Ryle

Michael Ryle
Michael has extensive experience in venue management. He has been intricately involved in the management of major sporting venues and training of operators around the world for the past 15 years. Over the past few years Michael has steered several golf courses to substantial financial success. He now brings together a group of diverse and talented professionals to guide Bon Golf, a company that optimises golf resort properties performance.

Chris Farrell Principal, Venue Legal Consulting

Chris Farrell

Chris is a lawyer with 25 years experience. He specialises in commercial and corporate law, principally to the venue industry. He has acted for a large number of sporting, cultural and venue organisations, including Australian Football League, Melbourne Park, GABBA, National Gallery of Victoria and several golf clubs.

Chris has been involved in all aspects of contract preparation and negotiation for the sporting, arts and venue industry. He also has extensive experience in corporate law and structuring as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Jim Hammer    Fellow CPA

Jim Hammer

Jim is a well experienced operator of major golf course developments.  He has guided owners through significant and complex operations.

His past positions include:

  • Director of Finance & Administration PGA Links and Club Links Pty Ltd (3yr)
  • Manager Finance - Hanners Management P/L (Moonah Links and The Sands, Torquay) (2yr)
  • General Manager – Sanctuary Lakes Club Ltd (3yr)
  • General Manager – Corporate Services – Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust. (8yr)

Sharyn May

Sharyn May

Sharyn’s extensive experience in hospitality is based on a broad foundation in kitchen operations and business management.  For the last 15 yeas Sharyn has been Director of Bibra & May Food Service Solutions (now May Consulting) providing hospitality consulting to diverse business sectors including clubs, education, commercial, cultural, tourism and leisure. Sharyn’s energetic and focused approach to achieving business solutions coupled with her strategic and operational experience brings a great deal of experience to the Bon Golf Board.
